King 1130 Flugabone/Marching Trombone Ser#878654 Plays but Needs Adjustment
Additional Information:
This flugabone is being sold in as is condition.  It does basically play but the sound feels a little weaker than what you would anticipate which tells us there is potentially a leak somewhere in the horn.  The cork for the water keys is a little bit older so it is possible that the leak may be coming through there.  Wherever it is it was not strong enough to really get a clear idea of where the leak is when checking with your hand while you play for escaping air.  The body of the horn is in good condition with only minor dents and dings.  There are two points that need to be re-soldered one is at the main tuning slide to the body along the bottom of the horn and the other is from the main tuning slide to the bottom of the second valve casing. The bell has taken the majority of the major damage and has been crinkled down.  There are multiple points of broken metal that we can see clearly and likely more.  There will likely be more when the bell dent removal is attempted.  Once the horn has had the proper adjustments and is back to its top playing condition this should be a very nice sounding Flugabone! We have had several of these King flugabones come through our shop and when they are in their best playing shape they are fantastic horns with a super strong sound!

The overall physical condition of this used instrument is Good
Dents:
Several dents and dings
Playing Condition:
This instrument is currently in Playing condition but the sound feels a little weak like there might be a leak somewhere in the horn.  We could not locate a leak when we test played it.
The Finish:
It has approximately 75-80% of the lacquered finish
Player Wear:
Heavy general wear (substantial surface scratches and wear with medium-large dents and dings and/or
damage)
Valve Condition:
All the valves are in good working condition and some of the tuning slides are stuck.
Lead Pipe Condition:
Light general wear (possible light surface scratches and/or minor dents and dings)
Back Bell Bow Condition:
Has a light dent in the back bell bow and/or a small ding (See Pics)
The Bell:
Major dents and minor bell edge dents (See Pics)
Bell Dent Removal/Repair:
None. There are three or more broken spots in the bell and likely more that will appear as dents come out.
Re-soldered:
Several (See Pics) The brace from the main tuning slide to the body needs to be re-soldered on the main tuning slide side (see pics). The main tuning slide to the bottom of the second valve casing needs to be re-soldered.
Metal Condition:
There are multiple breaks in the bell (see pics). We would guess with the amount of twisting in the bell that there will likely be more as the dents are removed.
The Mouthpiece:
No Mouthpiece is included, or other accessories
The Stand:
If pictured, not included.
The Case:
No case is included.

Incomplete Return:
The item will be inspected upon return and if any original parts or pieces are missing you will be contacted to send the missing items back.  If you are unable to return the missing item/part, you forfeit the refund.  All partial items that have been returned will also be forfeited and will be the property of Musical Instrument City.

Damage during Outbound Shipping:
In the unfortunate chance your item is damaged, the following procedure must be followed exactly in order to process a refund. Failure to comply with the following procedures constitutes a violation of the return policy and therefore a refund will not be given. Please contact us immediately. Save everything, including the box, packing materials, and shipping label. Without the original box and packing materials, a claim cannot be made, and a refund will not be issued. Take a full set of pictures so the damage can be assessed. Don’t send anything back yet until we contact our insurance company.  We will tell you when you may ship the item back.  Please see instructions for return shipping below. If it is determined that the item was damaged in shipping, we will send you a return shipping label via eBay Messages.  Refunds will not be issued for merchandise, which has been damaged while in your possession.

Damage during Return Shipping:
The item will be inspected upon return and if the item is damaged during return shipping, we will contact you so you can file an insurance claim.  Because you are the shipper, we cannot initiate a claim.  Depending upon how much damage was sustained you may only get a partial refund or no refund due to the damage.
Instructions for Return Shipping:

Be sure all original parts of the item purchased are included before you return it.

In order to receive a refund our policy requires you to put insurance on the item for its return shipping.

Please use the original packing material and box.  Please use original packing material inside the case around the item.  Also use the original packing material around the case in the box to protect the item from shipping damage. If your item does not have a case, please use all packing material that the item came with to protect the item from shipping damage.

Uninsured packages or items shipped “COD” or “Shipping Due” will be refused and a refund will not be issued.

Once the item is received, we will conduct a physical inspection. This inspection will determine your eligibility for a refund.
